Reports To: Housekeeping Manager/Director of Rooms

Position Overview:

As a Housekeeping Specialist at Wander the Resort, you will play a pivotal role inmaintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and order throughout our facilities. Yourattention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute significantly to the overallsatisfaction of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Preparation:
● Ensure guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for new arrivals.
● Change linens, replenish amenities, and conduct detailed cleaning to meet the resort’s cleanliness standards.

Quality Control:
● Perform regular inspections to ensure that cleanliness and presentation meet or exceed established standards.
● Address any deficiencies promptly and report recurring issues to the housekeeping manager.

Inventory Management:
● Manage and replenish cleaning supplies and amenities in guest rooms.
● Communicate inventory needs to the housekeeping manager to maintain adequate stock levels.

Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
● Execute specialized cleaning tasks, such as deep cleaning carpets, upholstery, and other designated areas.
● Handle delicate or valuable items in guest rooms with care and attention.
● Clean other common spaces amongst the resort including, but not limited to, the Clubhouse, change rooms, portable washrooms, sauna’s and operations house.
● Perform mid-stay cleans in cabins.

Collaboration and Communication:
● Work closely with other housekeeping team members to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.
● Communicate effectively with the guest services and maintenance teams to address guest requests and maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

● Previous experience in housekeeping within a hospitality setting is preferred.
● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
● Ability to work independently and efficiently.
● Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
● Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
