Recovery Ranch seeks a Full Time . Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for cleaning, housekeeping and laundry services for the Administration Building, Lodge, Detox and client rooms and supports light tasks in maintenance departments when extra assistance is needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include, but are not limited to the following;

  • Ensure that all vacated rooms are fully cleaned and prepared for client intake
  • Wash and dry bed linens and towels
  • Specific daily and weekly checklists for cleaning of lodge / cabins as required
  • Checking inventory levels for cleaning supplies in compliance with WHMIS guidelines
  • Note any maintenance issues that must be followed up that are of a more serious level
  • Note interior space needs, e.g. new mattresses, broken lamp, needed art, bedding etc.
  • Create and maintain a monthly / quarterly cleaning task list
  • Place into order equipment / games and ensure a well-organized space
  • Note unsafe or potential hazards / record and report to supervisor
  • Motivate and monitor client duties and responsibilities related to maintaining clean and orderly rooms and other cleaning duties within the client rooms and lodge
  • Sanitize high populated areas
  • And additional tasks as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with daily cleaning and housekeeping routines and suggest possible improvements
  • Knowledge of website, handbook, and all policies
  • Capable of sound organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Shows responsible and competent leadership skills
  • Work independently, demonstrating initiative, with limited supervision
  • Ability to work with diverse populations of clients
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to operate a computer with a moderate level of proficiency
  • Skills in communicating clearly
  • Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check
  • Physical fitness - Able to lift 40 pounds, bend, reach, etc.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a High school or equivalent diploma
  • Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check
  • Housekeeping experience an asset
  • Experience working within the field of addiction an asset
