Hospitality Management instructor

Job Description

Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management is seeking a qualified Hospitality instructor for its Hospitality Management programs. Course opening(s) will be for our Winter 2025 Semester starting on January 6, 2025.

Courses run Monday-Thursday. Multiple course assignments per semester may be available to qualified applicants.

Instructors are expected to teach in-person at our location at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond, BC. Free parking is available.

We are seeking a Hospitality Instructor to teach the following class from Jan 6 - Feb 6, 2025:

Course: Facilities Management & Design

Time: 2:15 pm to 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday

Responsibilities:

1. Ability to work from a course outline, develop lesson plans detailing what will be taught and how the course material will be delivered.
2. Timely completion of all institutional records (including grade and attendance reports, course outlines and lesson plans).
3. Individual guidance of students where appropriate.
4. Punctual and conscientious management of classes.
5. Creating a professional, engaging and safe classroom environment.

Qualification & Skills:

1. A master’s degree in a related field to hospitality management.
2. 1-2 years of experience teaching hospitality management at the post-secondary level.
3. 2 or more years of relevant work experience in hotels or similar operations.
4. Experience delivering courses with Canvas and Zoom.
5. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada at our campus in Richmond, BC.
