Hospital at Home (HaH) is an internationally recognized model being launched in Kelowna. This program enables hospital-level care to be provided in the comfort of the patient’s own home. If you're seeking a truly welcoming and team-based setting with endless lifestyle opportunities, this is the chance you've been eagerly waiting for! We are actively seeking physicians for 5 available positions with the Hospital at Home program, offering abundant flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your needs. Hospitalist and Family Practice candidates are well suited to this innovative method of patient care.
Together, with a multidisciplinary team, successful applicants will assist in determining patient eligibility, coordinate care and monitoring, and assess readiness for discharge from the HaH (Hospital at Home). Physicians will be based at Kelowna General Hospital, assessing patients in hospital when they are accepted to the HaH and providing house calls when required, a minimum of once per patient stay. HaH patients will be monitored with a combination of daily in-home nursing visits and Telus Home Health Monitoring (HHM) Technology. The HHM can provide a variety of biometric data (blood pressure, temperature, pulse oximetry, and weight).
