Hiring Warehouse Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate for one of our clients in Cambridge, ON. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and have experience operating various types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
• Utilize heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform order picking and packing tasks with accuracy to ensure timely shipment of products.
• Build and assemble pallets for storage or shipping purposes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.

Experience

• Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with familiarity in using warehouse management systems.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly in operating heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.
• Experience with order picking processes and techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 5 Licence (preferred)
