The Sequel - Restaurant and Kitchen is excited to announce its grand opening this Spring in the vibrant neighborhood of Coal Harbour Downtown. Nestled among breathtaking tourist attractions, shopping destinations, and a bustling community of offices and condos, our restaurant is set to become a culinary gem in the area.

As the sister restaurant to the highly successful The Story Cafe in Richmond, The Sequel brings the same commitment to high-quality food and exceptional service in a fast-paced, casual fine dining atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual with a passion for hospitality and a collaborative spirit to join our team.

POSITION:

Looking for skilled cooks to work mornings, mid & closing. Must be able to work Saturday & Sunday. Shifts vary from 8 hours to 10 hours daily.

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time Shifts

Shifts are approximately 8 hours+/day

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.
  2. Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
  3. Report to the executive chef and follow instructions.
  4. Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
  5. Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
  6. Stock inventory and supplies.
  7. Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

REQUIREMENT:

  1. At least 2 years cooking experience; fine dining experience is an asset.
  2. Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  3. English language skill level: fluent or intermediate level.
  4. Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred; if on a work permit, must be able to work more than 6 months.
