About BNA O&M General Partnership
BNA O&M General Partnership (BNAOM), a partnership of ACS Infrastructure Canada, Fluor Canada, and Aecon Group Inc., is seeking candidates for the Operations and Maintenance of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
The Bridge and Highway Manager will report to the Operations, Maintenance and Rehabilitation Manager (OMR Manager) / CEO and is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and capital replacement activities of the bridges, highways, roadways and surrounding infrastructure.
Job Summary
The Bridge and Highway Manager directly supports and assists BNAOM senior management to plan and mobilize BNAOM for the Operation, Maintenance and Rehabilitation period of the project. Some key responsibilities associated with the role:
- Supervise highway maintenance technicians and incident response workers assigned to operation and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and implement the preventive maintenance and inspection plan.
- Manage work orders issued by the computer-assisted maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with project agreement and requirements.
- Participate and lead procurement activities.
- Write and issue scopes of work, requests for proposal, and assist in negotiating contracts.
- Supervise the delivery of services under external service contracts.
- Contribute to the drafting of the monthly report.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual operations and maintenance budget.
- Responsible for developing, writing and editing operations and maintenance plans.
- Participate in the implementation and development of the maintenance management information system.
- Support the OMR Manager and Safety Manager in development of the HSE program.
- Develop training programs and material.
- Collaborate in the preparation of the documents associated with the execution of all aspects of the OMR Contract.
- Support the OMR Manager with budget reviews and anticipated maintenance needs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Play an active role in the continuation of the safety culture on the project.
- Complete safety audits and advance reporting as required.
- Document and report all injuries and incidents.
- Inspect the field and ensure quality control monitoring.
- Analyze situations, identify problems and recommend appropriate actions.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree in civil engineering and 10 years of relevant work-related experience; or a combination of education and directly related experience equivalent to 14 years if non-degreed.
- Experience in management and maintenance of stay cable bridges and large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience in road/highway management, operations and maintenance.
- Experience with computer-aided maintenance management systems.
- Basic computer and software skills.
- Technical and business writing skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including permitting.
- Jobsite experience and understanding of construction and O&M safety programs.
- Valid Class G driver’s license or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Ability to travel and be admissible into the United States.
