POSITION AVAILABLE: High School Science (Guadalajara Campus)

We offer the Alberta Education and Mexican Secretary of Public Education programs, in an English immersion setting. We are looking for highly qualified staff to contribute their skills, knowledge and talents towards the high standard of education we strive to achieve at our schools.

CANADIAN SCHOOLS IN MEXICO:

  • GUADALAJARA: EARLY YEARS TO GRADE 11 - ALBERTA ACCREDITED
  • LEON: EARLY YEARS TO GRADE 4
  • QUERETARO: EARLY YEARS TO GRADE 5
  • PUEBLA: EARLY YEARS TO GRADE 1

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  1. Focused on technology integration to improve teaching and student learning in every classroom, including MakerSpace (STEAM) facilities on both campuses, a 1:1 iPad program from grade 4 -6, and a 1:1 MacBook program for grades 7 to grade 11.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Four-year University teaching degree in Elementary or Junior High Education.
  2. Teaching experience at the Junior High or High School levels.
  3. Recognized professional teaching certification in Canada or the US.
  4. Proficiency in English with excellent pronunciation.
  5. Ability to teach in a cross-curricular and 21st Century learning environment.
  6. Commitment to ongoing professional development and professionalism.
  7. Proactivity in seeking opportunities to integrate information technology into the curriculum.
  8. Adaptability to new cultures and languages.
  9. Ability to work within the culture of a Professional Learning Community.
  10. Ability to work on a team with intercultural teaching partners and other grade team members.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  2. Understanding of Career and Technology Foundations.
  3. Experience working with ELL students.
  4. Willingness to contribute to take an active part in committees, the school community, design teams and school initiatives.
