Heavy equipment operator

Hourly rate starting at: 25$ per hour

Status: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Candidates must be able to work outdoors in all conditions, work flexible hours during weekdays and weekends, including overtime.

Place of Work: Agromart Group Terminal, Belton, ON.

THE CHALLENGES WE PROPOSE

1. Operate heavy equipment including a forklift, tractor, loader with top tip bucket, trackmobile, and railcar mover;
2. Handle, store, and distribute products for Agromart Partner’s retail businesses, fertilizers, and other crop-input products;
3. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to operate the terminal storage facilities;
4. Follow safe operating procedures and participate in the Environmental Health and Safety Programs;
5. Perform minor repairs on various pieces of equipment;
6. Work and interact with customers, truck drivers, and employees courteously and professionally;
7. Provide general assistance within the facility and perform additional duties as needed.

YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING PROFILE

1. Good computer skills to operate scale systems;
2. Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs;
3. Good communication skills;
4. Ability to work well within a small team as well as independently;
5. Receptive to learning new skills;
6. Valid G license.
