Number of Positions: 1
Travel: On-site and in-field
Tingley Harvest Center is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Vegreville location in Alberta.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Diagnose and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions.
Repair and adjust equipment and replace defective parts.
Perform updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.
Complete work orders and enter technician notes into a computer.
Must adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety standards, as the company is committed to the protection and wellness of its employees.
Provide service at the customers' site by driving a service truck to the customers' location.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in the 421A Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship program with your Level 3.
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy-duty and/or agricultural equipment.
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
A High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
A valid driver’s license with a reasonable abstract is required.
Forklift license preferred.
