Our client, a large International Mining firm, is looking for several Heavy-Duty Mechanics to join their company at one of their mines in Northern Ontario. This is a camp-focused role working 14 days in, 14 days out rotation.
Qualifications:
Ability to work with minimum direction and supervision.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all on-site mobile equipment (surface heavy equipment, underground equipment, and all service vehicles).
A self-starter who is well organized and knowledgeable in all areas of preventative maintenance.
Must Have:
A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of five (5) years of experience with heavy mining or construction equipment on surface or underground.
Certified in Common Core for Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining would be an asset.
Verbal and written proficiency in the English language.
The position offers a competitive remuneration package consisting of an hourly wage of $52.42, with potential to earn an underground bonus, health & medical insurance, retirement savings plan, and travel allowance. Meals are provided while at the mine site.
