Manager - Respiratory Therapy

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Respiratory Therapist interested in a leadership role. The preferred candidate will assume primary responsibility for leading, organizing and directing the activities of the local operation in accordance with ProResp’s Mission, Core Values, and Vision. With 30 locations throughout the province and over 300 employees, (including 100+ staff RRTs) ProResp Inc. was the first in Ontario to offer homecare services with the RRT as the primary healthcare provider and remains the gold standard in the provision of Oxygen (air and liquid) and PAP therapy. Today we continue our homecare pioneering tradition with our Respiratory Therapists providing complex airway management and virtual care accessibility to our patients. Expectations of role include (but not limited to):
- Maintains client care standards with effective resource utilization
- Develops annual business plans and budgets
- Establish goals and objectives in alignment with corporate policies, procedures and standards
- Manages both physical and human resources for the operation
- Provides developmental, training, mentorship and performance measures to staff
- Operates to applicable quality standards as outlined
- Ensures compliance with relevant legislation such as Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Transportation, Health Canada
The preferred candidate shall possess:
- Demonstrated leadership experience of 5 years or more; preferably health or home care field
- Previous Clinical expertise in respiratory therapy practice is preferred
- Formal business education considered an asset
- Candidates with or working towards their Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) accreditation preferred.
- Excellent communications skills; demonstrated with multiple stakeholders, effectively through a variety of methods
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Good computer skills; attention to detail; follow up diligence
- Strong Health & Safety focus
- Applicable knowledge and experience in the areas of workplace safety, employment standards, Health Canada
- Valid G license; ability to travel as required. Comfortable driving in remote regions on a regular basis.
- Agreeable to participate in applicable background checks as a condition of employment
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previous work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and who currently hold a valid certificate with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.

Essential Duties:
- Visual and audio acuity; excellent English communication skills, including oral and written; ability to present in groups of varying sizes and backgrounds.
- Problem solving focus with high situational awareness and emotional intelligence
- Defined as physically medium; occasional walking and standing and climbing of stairs; computer work; neck flexion; frequent push – pull for vehicle doors; occasional lifting up to 31 lbs, rare to 58 lbs.
- Able to drive on a frequent basis holding a valid full G Driver's License (Full G for 3 years or longer) with satisfactory driving record.
- Must maintain satisfactory standing with ongoing background checks
- Must be clean shaven where a respirator seals to the skin of the face or neck when the use of a N95 respirator is required during the course of duties for: Worker Protection and Fit Testing (orientation and bi-annual testing at minimum)
