Healthcare Engagement Specialist, GU Oncology - GTA West/North & Manitoba
The Healthcare Engagement Specialist (HES) acts as a primary (but not exclusive) point of contact between Bayer and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and is accountable for delivering value to HCPs and the healthcare community.
The HES supports the appropriate use of Bayer products based on approved indications within the relevant therapeutic area(s) (TA) by providing product and disease information through various channels of engagement. The HES coordinates engagement between HCPs and appropriate cross-functional Bayer partners and promotes scientific exchange among HCPs. The HES establishes strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate optimized diagnosis, treatment and care of Canadian patients.
This is a 1 year Short-Term Assignment or Contract position. This HES will cover the Ontario West & North (Oakville, Burlington, Brampton, Barrie) + Manitoba territory.
What you will do:
- Partners with key stakeholders to remove roadblocks and unlock possibilities to deliver value for patients and the healthcare community, across the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment to follow-up.
- Maintains high level of compliance and integrity in all business exchanges and activities.
- Communicates content across the disease state in various formats using an omnichannel approach tailored to customer interests and preferences.
- Implements brand strategy through cross-functional collaboration and customer and patients needs assessments.
- Leads learning program development & execution, including speaker briefing, in line with scientific communication objectives.
- Collaborates with internal partners (ex. market access, medical affairs, patient support program, pharmaceutical operations, etc) to optimize customer experience.
- Conducts business meetings and local consultant meetings, as needed, to gather and share customer and environmental insights to inform agile planning cycles.
- Identifies, profiles and segments customers and develops engagement plan in alignment with brand plan(s).
Who you are:
- Bachelors degree in business or science.
- 5+ years of field pharmaceutical experience (sales, medical, or digital).
- Experience in the oncology therapeutic area would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic-thinker.
- Independent learner and demonstrated self-starter.
- Able to assess and understand clinical data related to TA.
- Highly organized, efficient in managing complexity.
- Strong analytical skills.

- Must possess a valid G driver's license or provincial equivalent.
