The Corporate Services Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture is seeking an individual with strong problem-solving and communication skills to fill a key position as a Health, Safety and Training Coordinator.
In this role, you will promote and ensure ministry compliance with The Saskatchewan Employment Act, The Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and The National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace including continuous improvements to the ministry’s occupational and psychological safety programs.

As a Health, Safety and Training Coordinator, you will:
- Facilitate the implementation, administration, review and continuous improvement of the ministry’s occupational and psychological safety management systems;
- Develop occupational and psychological safety policies, programs, practices, procedures and communications to ensure compliance with Acts and regulations as well as standards, codes and guidelines;
- Support and assist the workplace responsibility system (leadership, supervisor/managers, employees, OHCs) in understanding their occupational and psychological safety-related roles and responsibilities including, but not limited to, hazard identification, risk assessment, implementation of control implementation, and workplace inspections;
- Be seen as the occupational and psychological subject matter expert, providing interpretations of Acts, regulations, standards, codes, guidelines and internal policies, practices, and procedures to leaders, managers and committees;
- Assess and perform needs analysis for safety training requirements respecting ministry operations;
- Coordinate the investigations of incidents, ensuring effective investigation procedures for all incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions;
- Present occupational and psychological safety information, issues, and trends at ministry meetings and to key stakeholders in compliance with privacy requirements.
