Reporting to the Manager of Child and Adolescent Services, Mental Health and Addictions, the Social Worker works with children and adolescents up to the 19th birthday providing assessment and treatment for those who have mental health or concurrent disorders. Child and Adolescent Services is a multi-discipline service that provides service in the main outpatient clinic, schools, and satellite clinics. Services can include individual, family-based, or group therapy. The social worker’s responsibilities may also include supervising case managers and behavioral interventionists. The successful candidate is a team player who works flexibly to best meet the needs of the clients and the service. The social worker is able to create and provide evidence-based educational presentations to clients, families, other agencies, and fellow staff members on topics relating to mental health and concurrent disorders. Evening and daytime hours and travel is required.
