Job description

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and their families on proper healthcare procedures and disease management
Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

Valid HCA license with BCCNM/ BC registration
Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a variety of settings such as Long-Term Care, assisted living facilities, or home care
Knowledge of palliative and geriatric care
Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
Ability to provide dementia care and support for patients with cognitive impairments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on nursing judgment
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
