Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator for our client in Gold River, BC. This full-time role will involve overseeing safety protocols for vehicle operation and vessel safety, managing e-compliance documentation, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring the implementation of safety procedures. The role is a mix of fieldwork and office duties. You will play a critical role in ensuring that safety standards are met and maintained within the fleet and vessel operations while contributing to the overall health and safety culture of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety protocols specific to vehicle operation.
Coordinate with the Youth Coordinator and Educational Administrative Assistant to validate and approve vehicle usage requests, ensuring they align with the mission of serving Child and Family Services.
Monitor unauthorized or private use of the vehicles.
Ensure vehicles are properly parked and secured overnight in designated locations.
Work with the HR manager to develop and distribute forms for tracking vehicle usage and trip details.
Manage fleet vehicles ensuring compliance with National Safety Code (NSC) standards and regulations.
Ensure pre- and post-trip inspections are completed as per the outlined schedules.
Track and maintain vessel maintenance details.
Participate in vessel inspections as required.
Ensure e-Compliance documentation is being completed accurately.
Create/modify e-Compliance forms as necessary.
Participate in monthly inspections, behavior-based observations, incident investigations, and safety meetings.
Track employee health & safety training records.
Facilitate training and new hire orientations.
Determine PPE and safety equipment needs.
Implement and audit all safety procedures as directed by the Health and Safety Officer.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Health & Safety.
Post-secondary training in Occupational Health & Safety Management preferred, with NCSO designation an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Teams/Zoom and electronic filing.
Experience with administering e-Compliance is an asset.
Certifications such as Principles of Health & Safety Management, Leadership for Safety Excellence, and COR auditing considered assets.
Valid driver's license and access to own vehicle.
