North Ferriby C E Primary School is a successful and happy school situated in the pleasant area of East Yorkshire countryside at the southern end of the Yorkshire Wolds on the bank of the River Humber. The village of North Ferriby has a wide variety of housing, a good selection of local shops as well as two churches, a pub and a railway station. It is an ancient settlement dating back 3,500 years and is still a thriving community with a wide range of clubs and societies. The school has always been at the heart of the community.

The school has 286 pupils taught in ten classes across two sites with extensive grounds, including playing fields, allotment, an orchard and a small wood. The Key Stage 1 building has four classrooms, plus a nurture unit, a hall with a serving area for lunches, a staffroom and an office. The Key Stage 2 building has six classrooms, a well-being room, a DT suite, a hall, a staffroom, a kitchen and two offices.

4. have recent, successful experience at senior school leadership level and is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their leadership career.
5. show a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and can further develop an exciting, enriching and challenging curriculum.
6. have the skills to improve further the academic achievement of all pupils through monitoring, reviewing and celebrating progress and attainment.
7. ensure that systems are in place to encourage all teaching staff to be active in their personal and continuous professional development and committed to their well-being.
8. be an excellent communicator and be able to build effective partnerships with families, staff, governors, and the wider community, including the Diocese of York.
9. have a flexible approach to work, and a healthy work/life balance, while encouraging others to do the same.
10. have a good financial understanding and work collaboratively with our School Business Manager, governors, and the local authority to maintain our secure financial position.
