Head of Quality Assurance

Pacific Programming and Tech Inc., a leading software development firm specializing in the development of various systems and related applications, is expanding its team. We are currently seeking a skilled leader to be the Head of Quality Assurance and to lead our team of cross-country and international Quality Assurance Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Conduct regular training sessions and performance evaluations to nurture team growth.
• QA Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies that align with our development processes and business objectives, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define quality standards and establish best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Testing Frameworks: Develop and maintain automated and manual testing frameworks, ensuring robust test coverage for all products. Champion the use of modern testing tools and methodologies.
• Quality Metrics: Define, monitor, and analyze quality metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on QA performance and quality initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and fostering an environment that encourages feedback and innovative solutions.
• Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks in projects early on and propose effective solutions to mitigate those risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within the software development industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and frameworks, along with experience in performance testing, security testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present ideas to senior leadership.
• Passion for Quality: A genuine passion for software quality and user experience, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
