As Head of Operations, Partner Channel, you’ll lead the Partners Channel business for SBS Canada and be responsible for building the infrastructure with a strong focus to support SBS Sales Partners to more than double business’ revenue in the next few years.
This Leader works and collaborates closely with the Sales organization to proactively plan and anticipate growth needs (Start Volume, Client's expectations and needs, etc.) for SBS Canada Partner Channel. As the leader of this segment, they will be responsible for ensuring that the applicable teams, starting from Implementation to Service, are actively engaged, establishing the right technology and foundation to support Sales in achieving strategic market growth.
The Partner Channel/Center of influence will include our centers of influence like the Banking Channel, Accounting Channel, Referral Channel, and Wholesale Channel.
This role is part of the Senior Leadership Team of SBS Canada and will report to the General Manager of the SBS Canada Business.

What you’ll do: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:
- Directs the overall Partners Channel function for SBS Canada to meet all business objectives including Start Volume, productivity, implementation Quality, Service Quality, and Retention.
- Works closely with the Sales organization to anticipate start volume and service needs. Ensures the successful resolution of escalated Sales and Client Issues.
- Responsible for building a Sales Help Desk to support all of SBS Canada, managing and growing the Partners’ Help Desk, and will have dotted line management of the Implementation Partners team.
- Build the business of tomorrow. Build the foundation needed to significantly grow this business. Such foundation includes a partner Access system (partner with GPT), strong data governance infrastructure, defining the right service and implementation models to enable growth.
- Creates a high-performance team environment that supports/reinforces associate development and retention. Coaches and develops leaders to improve current performance and build bench strength for the future. Provides periodic performance feedback and conducts annual performance reviews. Responsible for recruitment, selection, hiring, compensation management, and performance management of the Partners Channel team.
- In partnership with Sales, visits large and/or influential CPAs and clients to enhance service relationships, gather feedback, and improve operational performance.
- Works with the VP/GM and Finance Executive to develop annual budget recommendations including headcount plan, productivity goals, and other expenses. Manages expenses to the established budget/plan.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in leadership and management including planning, budgeting, and associate development. Prior payroll and/or call center management experience required.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
- Proven ability to develop talent.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a distributed workforce and build effective professional relationships.
- Ability to travel as needed to remote locations.
*Quebec candidates: While French is required for Quebec-based roles, use of the English language is also required due to the global nature of the business and the need to interact with ADP’s headquarters and international sites.
Bonus points for these: Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources, or the equivalent in education and experience.
- Prior experience successfully interacting with the sales function is strongly preferred.
