We have a reputation as Edmonton's finest public golf course – a reputation earned as much by our spectacular course conditions as our friendly atmosphere, great food, and beverage service all season long. Located in Spruce Grove, we are owned and operated by Melcor Developments Ltd.

We Are Looking For

A Head Chef who is committed to providing quality food and a great customer experience to our guests. This full-time, permanent year-round position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager and is a key member of our team.

What You’ll Do

1. Assist day-to-day back of house operations for The Grill and for banquets and events. This includes:
1. Cooking like a pro while simultaneously driving speed of service & quality control
2. Recruit, orient, train and schedule the culinary team
3. Assist with menu ideas & planning to drive business
4. Ensuring swift service by working effectively with the serving team
5. Ensuring all BOH areas are highly organized and meticulously clean

About You

1. You have worked as a cook, with supervisory or shift leader experience
2. You are a pro at:
1. Inventory control, theft, and product loss systems
2. Sanitation and safe food handling procedures
3. Food creation & execution
3. You can follow company guidelines and demonstrate strong attention to detail
4. You work calmly under pressure while maintaining a sense of urgency
5. You are a great problem solver, self-motivated and super organized
6. You can work a variety of shifts

Extra Points For

1. Experience working with a Public Health Board
2. Golf, hospitality, and/or banquet/catering industry experience
3. Real Seal Certification
