Do you want to be at the forefront of a brand-new initiative that’s set to revolutionize care and support for some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community? We are opening the doors to a state-of-the-art treatment hub designed to provide comprehensive support and resources that address the root causes of homelessness and addiction. We are currently seeking a 0.5 FTE IT Systems Administrator who will be responsible for working with an interdisciplinary team to meet clients’ health and social needs, ensuring proper system administration and high-quality IT support to service users.

One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community-based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services. The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan, and an excellent group health benefit package.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three or more years of related experience; preferably in a health care setting.
  • Minimum certification of a Comptia A+.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer networks and database programs.
  • Attention to principles of risk management and adherence to privacy.
  • Experience assessing, developing plans, and training end users who have a range of skill levels.
  • Experience in data quality management.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to sites.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, non-insured).
