Hardware Designer, Technical Specialist

EToD is actively searching for a Hardware Design Technical Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our leading clients. In this role you will produce application & equipment designs that meet our client’s requirements.

This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days in office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare specifications for hardware and/or software components
2. Lead designers to assist on projects
3. Manage assigned tasks, schedule and budget; keep track of progress
4. Ensure that all tasks go according to schedule, within budget, and align with all requirements
5. Generate accurate estimates and provide new estimates to various departments

Key Qualifications:

1. Over 10 years of related work experience
2. Post-secondary Technologist diploma or Electrical or Electronics Engineering degree
3. Prior Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) experience required
4. Proficient with development tools, CAD packages (Microstation, AutoCAD)
5. Knowledge of Seltrac, Bills of Materials (SAP), Configuration Management, Clearquest, and Microsoft Office suite
6. An advanced level of experience with effective hardware application design, products and processes
