Halton (Burlington) - Purchasing Coordinator (Afternoon Shift)

Location: Halton (Burlington)

Position Type: Full-time Permanent - Afternoon Shift

Reporting: Equipment Manager

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 12:00am; Friday, 3:00pm to 7:30pm

Rate: $56,260.74 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Assist other positions as required.
  • Daily purchase order placement for parts as required for the Halton location.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure technicians have an adequate parts supply that meets their daily repair requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized stock room.
  • Manage all warranty parts and core return items. Ensure they are returned in a timely fashion and that the appropriate return credit is received.
  • Utilizing fleet software, creating purchase orders and charging parts to work orders.
  • Perform monthly cycle counts, create and submit monthly reports.
  • Physical ability to transport parts and inventory weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to operate forklift and offload/load delivery trucks.
  • Maintain written records and communication with co-workers and technicians.
  • Available to work overtime when required at the end of shifts or cover other duties when others are away.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of truck parts and supplies.
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Available to work extra hours and holidays when required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willing to participate in a team environment.
