About the role
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our creatively-led internal team to cover family leave as we help Newcastle Building Society bring our purpose to life across a wide range of media.

Bring your creative ideas, design experience and brand understanding into play alongside our existing designers and wider marketing team.
From initial concepts through to fully realised materials, you will be designing and creating outstanding creative that supports our marketing plan. You’ll be involved in the full range of the Society’s marketing activity from branch posters and visual merchandising for our retail network, to digital media and product brochures.
The work will be varied and you’ll often have to manage several projects at once. You’ll be working with and communicating with people at all levels, sharing your ideas and expertise to make sure that our visual style aligns with our brand identity, guidelines and purpose.
Responsibilities:
About You
We are looking for candidates who bring creative flair, a passion for design, and demonstrable understanding of brand identity.
You will be an excellent communicator able to take a brief and get to the heart of the problem you are trying to solve for your stakeholders, using your expertise and experience to provide recommendations for solutions that meet the clients’ needs.
You will have excellent time management skills and will manage client/stakeholder expectations with clear communications of timescales and advising the impact of any changes to brief on costs and timescales.
You will have experience with art direction for photography and filmography to ensure asset creation is fit for purpose and in agreed brand styles.
