THE ROLE

The Graphic Designer designs camera-ready and digital ads for Base publications. You perform quality control on all projects produced to guarantee industry standards are met. You pre-flight files to ensure all pre-press specifications - specific to press or final output requirements are included and accurate. You coordinate project development through design process, maintain contact with the customer regarding timelines, amendments alterations and ensure timely receipt of client approvals for delivery of project. You maintain a schedule of all graphic projects.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College Diploma or Certificate in graphic design, commercial art or graphic communication or a related field AND some years of experience in multimedia or a related field OR High school diploma AND several years of experience in graphic design, commercial art or graphic communications including multimedia.

Experience

  1. In newspaper and publication design and layout
  2. In MAC troubleshooting
  3. In creating and producing graphic materials using a wide range of media, methods, techniques and equipment
  4. In graphic design for the WWW
  5. In using desktop publishing programs
  6. In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of 5 May 2025 and end date of 28 August 2025.
