THE ROLE:

Our Marketing & Communications team operates as an in-house Marketing Agency and supports First Capital nationally. From managing internal and external communications to spearheading leasing and property marketing efforts and building high-quality physical and digital collateral, our team is there every step of the way, ensuring consistency in the FCR brand across the board.

As Graphic Design & Content Coordinator, you will be a key part of driving those initiatives forward, working closely with the team to develop and execute design concepts that meet the needs of the organization while staying on brand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  1. Assist the Marketing team in creating and designing marketing materials for different departments with a strong focus on leasing.
  2. Design and produce high-quality graphics, layouts, and visual elements for print and digital media, including logos, brochures, flyers, social media graphics, reports, and website design.
  3. Film and edit video content for internal and external use.
  4. Point of contact and lead content creator for First Capital’s social media platforms including: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, and YouTube.
  5. Coordinate photo and video shoots including yearly property shoots.
  6. Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop new ideas and campaigns.
  7. Ensure that all designs meet requirements and brand guidelines.
  8. Maintain accurate records of all design assets and project files.
  9. Stay up to date with current design trends and techniques, and marketing trends and best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  1. Post-secondary education, preferably in Graphic Design or Marketing.
  2. Related experience with a strong foundation in design principles and a working knowledge of design software.
  3. Prior experience in commercial real estate is an asset.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  1. Knowledge of marketing communications principles for both digital and print mediums.
  2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom) and Canva.
  3. Knowledgeable in filming and editing video, with working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editors.
  4. Proficiency with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate across all levels within and outside First Capital. Strong ability to articulate strategic ideas via copy and images.
  6. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines through organizational and time management skills.
  7. A self-starter with good judgment, excellent service delivery skills, and a commitment to quality.
  8. A team-player; willing to step in and lend a hand as needed and identify the opportunities to do so.
  9. Desire to learn and grow, and a willingness to stay updated on the latest marketing trends and best practices.
