Graduate Sales Engineer

Job Description

Graduate Sales Engineer / Junior Sales Engineer / Field Sales Representative required to join a leading global distributor of mechanical engineering products. The role is remote, mainly covering Reading, Berkshire and Oxfordshire, selling various MRO products such as bearings, power transmission, pumps, seals, lubricants, fasteners, and industrial gearboxes.

This position will suit individuals with an engineering qualification or degree looking to kick-start their sales career in a technical, engineering, or industrial sector. Full training will be provided, offering excellent career progression opportunities.

Package: £37,000 - £41,000 + Bonus + Company Car + Pension + Private Medical Care

Responsibilities

1. Manage a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers within the mechanical engineering industry.
2. Sell into industries such as marine, food & beverage, oil & gas, power, and water.
3. Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development.
4. Maintain new MRO sales through demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
5. Work closely with the Internal Sales Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service.
6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
7. Work remotely covering Hampshire and Dorset.

Requirements

1. Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Support Engineer, Engineering Administrator, Contracts Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Executive, Technical Sales Advisor, Graduate Sales Engineer, or similar.
2. Must have experience with face-to-face meetings and booking appointments to see customers weekly.
3. Ideally have experience selling mechanical or engineering products.
4. Full product training will be provided.
5. Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering markets.
6. Full clean driving license.
7. Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites predominantly in Reading, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
