Global Merchandise Planner

Play a key role in shaping global product strategies by leveraging planning insights to support growth and align regional teams. A great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and forecasting experience.

Hybrid working model of four days onsite and one remote working day. This is a contract through January 2026 with possible extension depending on the business needs of the company.

What - The Role:

The Global Merchandise Planning team is responsible for building global capabilities to unlock product strategies, product analyses to drive actions, and strive for brand consistency. The team works closely with Global Merchandising to understand new product trends and ensure Regional partners are enrolled in forward-looking plans connecting current business with future vision.

The Global Merchandise Planning team monitors the business as needed to fully absorb changes to core product performance, trends across each market/region, and performance of new product/strategy launches to properly maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by delivering profitable sales growth.

  • Develop forecasts/seasonal plans based on trends and opportunities. Focus efforts to support future growth initiatives and product visions.
  • Partner closely with Global Merchandising in building financial frameworks to support multiple seasons’ product development.
  • Partner with Regional teams to analyze current business. Apply knowledge to forward-looking plans or forecasts to drive meaningful growth strategies.
  • Create and maintain rolling 24-month demand forecasts across multiple core or new products; leverage forecasts to support Supply Planning team in building out Raw Material & Finished Goods capacity requirements.
  • Iterate on tools, best practices, and ways of working – build upon the foundations of the relatively newly formed Global team.
  • Actively capture opportunities and mitigate risk within the business – focus on protecting and enhancing guest experience with our products and brand.

Who - The Candidate:

  • College certificate or University degree is required, preferably in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • 5-8 Years of Planning experience or progressive financial analysis and reporting experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal) & extremely organized, thorough, and able to prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented & analytical.
  • Results-oriented - strong sense of motivation.
  • Self-directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful.
  • Capable of effective multiple demand management from a variety of sources and adapts well to change.
  • Ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback.

How much:

$50-55/hr + 4% vacation pay, if incorporated, please discuss with Swim.
