GoGeomatics Canada is seeking experienced GIS Project Managers to support federal government contracts. We are building a qualified roster of highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee geospatial projects in collaboration with federal agencies.

About the Role
GIS Project Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex geospatial projects in the federal sector. This role involves team leadership, stakeholder engagement, technical oversight, and project delivery within government frameworks and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Strategy:
- Manage and oversee geospatial initiatives from planning to execution.
- Define project goals, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with government agencies, departments, and industry partners to align project objectives.
- Lead meetings, provide updates, and ensure alignment with government policies.
- Technical Oversight:
- Direct the use of GIS software, remote sensing, data management, and automation tools to support project needs.
- Ensure all geospatial outputs meet federal standards, compliance, and security requirements.
- Team Coordination & Training:
- Supervise technical teams, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery of GIS-related tasks.
- Provide mentorship, training, and guidance on GIS best practices.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Enforce data integrity, security protocols, and quality assurance measures for all GIS deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with federal data management policies and standards.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking experienced GIS professionals with strong project management capabilities and government experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Enhanced Reliability Clearance (Mandatory – Already Obtained).
- 5+ years of experience in GIS project management in a government or enterprise setting.
- Proven leadership skills in overseeing teams and delivering projects on schedule.
- Strong expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), remote sensing, and data analytics.
- Experience with federal government projects and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, and geospatial automation tools (an asset).

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
