Job description

The purpose of this position is to lead individual multi-disciplined industrial and office projects from building the requirements, acquisition through construction completion. Key project delivery focus areas include team and people management along with scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management for your portfolio of projects. The ability to work with C-suite executives and staff on corporate office projects is required. The position will require the management of appropriate projects in the US and will travel as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of project management (scope definition, budget, schedule, procurement, quality, safety and risk mitigation) for your projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear objectives, deliverables and timelines as required to achieve the project objectives.
  • Help the team understand their accountability and timely escalate out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Interact regularly with all service lines in addition to internal and external partners to ensure success for both the project and the team.
  • Recognize that both the team and the project need to be successful to accomplish your goal.
  • Communicates effectively with all project participants / stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding of project goals, roles and responsibilities and expectations.
  • Develops and implements action plans to anticipate and correct variances. Anticipates and responds to the client and project team’s needs and concerns. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues and conflicts to minimize impact on project timelines and quality.
  • Leverage partner platforms to secure and enhance our value proposition. Innovation is critical to success.
  • Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek an understanding of McKesson’s internal departments, organizational goals and strategic priorities (i.e. Sustainability, Workplace, Employee Wellness) and appropriately align the project delivery strategy.
  • Exhibits a complete understanding of company's corporate governance policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of related progressive experience. Experience with both distribution center and office construction is required.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA / BS / Beng / BArch) required from College or University, in a related engineering field (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical), Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Must be fluent in English and French.
  • Strong project management experience in developing project plans and proven track record of project management success with construction (ground up & renovation) projects.
  • Strong executive presence with experience developing and delivering executive-level presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships, motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business problems and create a program to support solutions and compliance.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience managing and collaborating with indirect teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Process improvement methodologies and effective change management experience.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to excel in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong communication (listening, oral and written) and facilitation skills.
  • Master’s degree in Business / Engineering (asset).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (asset).

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position: $82,400 - $137,400
