Your role

To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in project delivery focusing on building and facility projects with a focus on institutional healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s strategic goals and aspirations
  • Lead program of work and large capital projects, varying in size, scope and complexity
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
  • Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams
  • Regularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and other reports
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates, and other contract or project-related administrative documents
  • Oversee the control of project-related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Project Leader, representing owners in the delivery of building development and capital improvement projects in the healthcare facility sector
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation
  • Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies
  • Effective leadership and organization skills, matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
  • A proven track record of delivering projects from the concept development stage straight through to occupancy and warranty reviews
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
  • ASP card
  • P. Eng. or PMP designation would be an asset, other designations are welcome
