Your role
To be successful in this role you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and be able to demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in project delivery focusing on building and facility projects with a focus on institutional healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s strategic goals and aspirations
Lead program of work and large capital projects, varying in size, scope and complexity
Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams
Regularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and other reports
Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates, and other contract or project-related administrative documents
Oversee the control of project-related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience as a Project Leader, representing owners in the delivery of building development and capital improvement projects in the healthcare facility sector
A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation
Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies
Effective leadership and organization skills, matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
A proven track record of delivering projects from the concept development stage straight through to occupancy and warranty reviews
Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English
Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
ASP card
P. Eng. or PMP designation would be an asset, other designations are welcome
