Performance Toyota is actively seeking a General Manager with strong leadership ability and a proven track record to join their dynamic team in their brand new state of the art dealership!

As a General Manager, you are primarily responsible for overseeing all departments within the dealership. You ensure the dealership’s profitability by planning, coordinating, and motivating management through solid business practices and leadership. You uphold high ethical standards as well as strong customer and community related skills.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  • Ensures achievement of all key financial objectives
  • Plans, directs, and evaluates the operations of all dealership departments
  • Demonstrates an innovative and entrepreneurial approach by responding to the unique characteristics of the market
  • Reach sales goals on strict timeline requirements
  • Grow revenue and profitability in sales territory
  • Maintain reporting systems required by the Regional Manager and the organization
  • Motivates and develops a winning team that will provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle all customer complaints on a timely basis
  • Builds team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations and leading by example
  • Performs activities including hiring, training, motivating, appraising performance, enforcing discipline, and termination in consultation with the Employee Services Department
  • Maintains sufficient staffing levels across all functional departments
  • Manages the dealership's operating budget and operates within PAG guidelines
  • Maintains CSI levels to company and manufacturers standards
  • Maintains strong working relations with OEM
  • Model and Champion Performance Auto Group values
  • Reinforces and adheres to company policies and government legislation
  • Manages compliance with Provincial/Territorial, Local, and Federal regulations

What you need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years automotive dealership management experience at the General Manager or General Sales Manager level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to successfully lead and motivate a team
  • Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills
  • Proven skills to interact effectively with employees in order to direct workflow, assess performance, and assign duties
  • Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines, payroll, and expenditures
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and good driving record
  • Must be available to work on Saturday as per business needs
