General Manager Golden Skybridge

What will be your daily pursuit?

Pursuit is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of Golden Skybridge, a premier attraction in Golden, BC. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Banff Jasper Collection, the General Manager will oversee all facets of the attraction, including guest experience, employee engagement, financial performance, programming, health and safety, maintenance, and community relations. This full-time, year-round position requires a leader committed to delivering exceptional experiences in a unique and breathtaking environment.

About Golden Skybridge

Golden Skybridge is home to Canada’s highest suspension bridges, providing awe-inspiring views of the Rocky and Purcell Mountain ranges. The attraction boasts a variety of world-class experiences, including the Railrider Mountain Coaster, 1,200-foot quad ziplines, tree-top challenge courses, climbing walls, axe throwing, multiple food and beverage outlets, retail and photo opportunities, and a network of scenic walking trails with breathtaking viewpoints.

What will your compensation be?

$110,000 - $120,000 CAD + Bonus + benefits

What will you do in this job?

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and lead strategic and operational plans to achieve growth, measured against key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met.
3. Inspire, coach, and empower a solutions-oriented team focused on continuous improvement.
4. Serve as an active member of the Golden and Kootenay community, representing Pursuit on boards and supporting local initiatives.
5. Partner with People & Culture to foster a highly engaged team, achieve staffing goals, and promote retention and internal talent development.
6. Establish clear goals and expectations, ensuring accountability across all departments.
7. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, guest experiences, and employee engagement, leading continuous enhancements.
8. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to optimize business growth.
9. Expand off-peak business through innovative programming, enhanced guest experiences, and diverse F&B opportunities.
10. Oversee capital projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
11. Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, customer service, and emergency protocols.
12. Address and resolve guest and employee feedback effectively.
13. Engage in strategic and long-term planning aligned with Pursuit’s vision.
14. Report regularly on business performance and solutions to the Vice President of Operations.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Proven General Manager experience in attractions, tourism, or hospitality, with a focus on developing teams and delivering world-class guest experiences.
2. 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the tourism or hospitality industries.
3. Expertise in operational excellence, training, colleague development, and guest experience transformation.
4. Experience building diverse, engaged teams, including seasonal staff from varied cultural backgrounds.
5. Broad operational knowledge, including food and beverage, retail, programming/events, maintenance, and capital deployment.
6. Proficiency in operational technologies such as POS, ticketing systems, and revenue management platforms.
7. Strong budget management skills, including annual budgets, P&L statements, and capital budgets.
8. Analytical skills to interpret guest and employee feedback and create actionable improvement plans.
