About our Client

Our client is an established and dynamic restaurant known for its excellent food, beverages, and exceptional guest experience. They are looking for a highly motivated and skilled General Manager to lead their team and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly, maintaining a fun and professional atmosphere.

Salary ranges from 70-80K plus bonus and tips.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management: Attract, retain, and develop a motivated team of employees while fostering a positive work culture. Conduct one-on-one meetings, reviews, and provide coaching and feedback to staff.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the restaurant meets company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accurate completion of invoices, reporting, and payroll duties in compliance with company policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the high standards of quality in our food and beverage offerings, and ensure the team delivers top-tier service that aligns with our corporate objectives.
  • Pre-Shift Meetings & Staff Training: Conduct daily meetings to communicate food, beverage, and service updates, and provide ongoing training to staff to enhance product knowledge.
  • Staff Productivity: Monitor and optimize the team’s productivity to ensure efficient service delivery while keeping costs within budget.
  • Collaboration with Chef: Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Chef to ensure high-quality food is served in a timely manner, and that the BOH operates smoothly.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold restaurant cleanliness and organization, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Perform regular liquor, wine, and beer inventory and reconcile variances as needed.
  • Guest Relations: Handle guest complaints and resolve issues with a solutions-oriented attitude, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Manage unexpected issues (e.g., power outages, staffing shortages) and ensure timely resolutions to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Positive Work Environment: Promote a fun, productive, and solutions-focused atmosphere where staff and guests enjoy their experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling costs.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and experience maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
