General Machinist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and be proficient in operating various types of machinery. This role requires a commitment to quality and precision, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines, CNC machines, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality parts.
• Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments, such as calipers, to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances.
• Assemble components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Perform welding tasks as needed to support assembly operations.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machining, including familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
• Proficient in using milling machines and hand tools effectively.
• Strong understanding of basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing practices is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
