General Labourer

An opportunity exists at Raylec Power LP for a General Labourer. This is a full-time, seasonal position based out of Raylec’s Nanaimo, BC yard with jobsites in the local area, reporting to the Site Foreman.

The Successful Candidate Shall Have The Following Qualifications:

1. Previous civil construction experience preferred.
2. Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Driver’s Abstract will be required.
3. Experience with the following tools/equipment: walk-behind concrete saws, compressors, jack hammers, cut-off saws.
4. Experience in working in traffic an asset.
5. Experience towing various trailers.
6. Ability to work shift work when needed (days, nights).
7. Team player with a positive attitude.
8. Willing to work in various weather conditions.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Dedicated, committed and safety conscious.

Job Duties Include The Following:

1. Loading and unloading equipment.
2. Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
3. Operating hand and power tools of all types.
4. Maintain, clean and repair machinery, equipment and tools as required.
5. Perform physical labour in a variety of different construction projects.
