Position Overview Reporting to the Production Manager, the General Labourer position can include (but is not limited to) restoration activities including demolition, cleaning, emergency flood service, restorative drying, fire and smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, content cleaning, pack out and storage and other specialized cleaning both on site and in the warehouse.
Job Duties
Perform activities including light repairs, demolition and general cleaning as needed.
Ensure work is completed according to measurements, specifications, drawings, plans or other production materials/instructions.
Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may affect completion of the job to the appropriate person.
Perform Water/Flood and Contents duties as required.
Participate as directed in the following activities:
Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition.
Constructing polyethylene enclosures.
Removing and disposing of debris.
Maintaining equipment.
Practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.
Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
Ensure attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information.
Participate in and demonstrate an understanding of safety principles and practices; follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
Comply with all Belfor policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
This role may be required to act as a “lead” periodically as designated by their manager.
