Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate, the General Duty Ultrasound Technologist provides delivery of ultrasound services as defined at regional and local levels. The incumbent performs ultrasound scans requested by Physicians and manages related patient needs, exam requests, and diagnostic file management. They assist in radiographic/ECG duties when necessary, ensuring a safe environment and compliance with quality assurance programs.

Experience

• Previous related experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Must be a graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Must be a Registered Ultrasound Technologist and maintain active registration with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiography Technologists (CAMRT) would be an asset.
