We are currently looking for a General Accountant to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the General Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager and Accounting Manager producing monthly and annual financial statements in a timely manner as well as coordinating the Marketing Revenue Invoicing Process and AD HOC Reporting. The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Finance - Tour Ops and will be in Toronto, ON. Apply now and have your career soar to new heights - under our wing!

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare JE’s and maintain prepaid and capital assets schedules.
• Ad hoc reporting including month-end overhead analysis, expenses accrual for all departments.
• Ensure the month end activities and audit queries are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare analysis of expense accounts as required.
• Prepare reconciliation of cost from e-package.
• Posting invoices in relation to Marketing Income.
• Assisting with the Executive Reporting and coordination of information required.
• Support Accounting Manager to prepare and organize balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documents.
• Prepare all the supporting documents for government audits.
• Assist in preparing Monthly HST/QST filings.
• Support AP in the creation/verification of new/change in vendor maintenance.
• During weekly/urgent payment runs assist in verification of invoices and amount paid.
• Monthly preparation and analysis of overhead reporting for all departments.

What You’ll Need:

• Proficient in MS Office products – Excel.
• Effective team player.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and consistently accurate.
• Able to work independently, effectively and constructively under pressure.
• Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize work: Review month end checklist to make sure all the general ledger transactions are posted.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
• 1-3 years work-related experience.
