Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Wapiti facility is recruiting for a Gas Plant Operator to join the team. This position reports to the Day Foreman, Operations in the Gas Services Business Unit, part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.
The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing, and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts. The Wapiti sour gas facility is located south of Grande Prairie and consists of H2S amine processing, gas fractionation, along with sales and acid gas compression.
The Gas Plant Operator will be responsible for daily operations of the Wapiti gas plant. This facility is not a camp-based facility and operates on a 28-day rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour day & night shifts.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of the Wapiti Facility.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
