Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Musreau Gas Plant is recruiting for a Gas Plant/Field Operator. This position reports to the Day Foreman, Operations in the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities division.

The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas and liquids processing fee-for-service solutions for customers in strategic locations across the Western Canadian Sedimentary and Williston Basins. We are the largest third-party gas processor serving the WCSB.

Summary of Responsibilities

This is a camp-based position requiring the successful candidate to stay in camp during the shift rotation (7 on, 7 off; days only, 12-hour shifts). As a Gas Plant/Field Operator, you will be responsible for daily operations of the gas plant and field sites. Responsibilities include:

  1. Start up, operate, and shut down unit operations within the gas plant and gathering system.
  2. Review and utilize Pembina’s safety and operational procedures in performing all facets of work.
  3. Ensure all safety documentation is completed for personnel working in the facilities.
  4. Document facilities operation in an electronic logbook.
  5. Lead and participate in site lockouts and planned maintenance activities.
  6. Lift and move barrels from a truck onto a barrel dock.
  7. Identify and troubleshoot process upsets.
  8. Create notifications through our SAP PMM system.
  9. Look for cost savings opportunities.
  10. Incident, Near Miss, Hazard ID reporting as required.
  11. Keep safety tickets up to date and coordinate training.
  12. Work with a safety-conscious attitude.
  13. Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion and diversity.

Qualifications

Post-secondary or trade education is an asset. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and maintain a flexible attitude. Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country. Final candidate will undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
