Gardening Expert for Estate Management

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Gardening Expert to join our team as a Head Gardener. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to bring their gardening expertise to a unique private estate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and development of the estate's gardens and grounds. As part of our team, you will work collaboratively in a positive and friendly environment.

About the Role

This is a 6-month contract position (April-September) with the possibility of future full-time employment. The ideal candidate will have previous landscaping and gardening experience, a valid driver's license, and own transportation. Experience using small machines, such as tractors and riding lawn mowers, is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spring and fall garden preparations
• Day-to-day garden and property maintenance
• Assisting the Property Manager with various tasks
• Tree and forest management
• Blowing leaves, power washing, and general grounds keeping

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous landscaping and gardening experience
• A valid driver's license and own transportation
• Experience using small machines, such as tractors and riding lawn mowers (an asset)
• Chainsaw/pole-saw experience (an asset)

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
