About the role

As a Gardener, you will play a key role in the upkeep and improvement of outdoor spaces within residential properties. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks designed to maintain the health, beauty, and functionality of gardens and landscapes. These duties encompass lawn care, planting, pruning, and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of green spaces. You will ensure that outdoor areas are not only visually pleasing but also healthy and thriving.

Hourly Wage Range: $28.00-32.00/per hour

What you’re great at

• Ability to clearly communicate plant care requirements, maintenance schedules, and overall status of garden health.
• Attention to detail when identifying plant health, promptly identifying any signs of disease or pests.
• Adapting to changing weather conditions and shifting gardening requirements.
• Creatively bringing new ideas for landscaping designs or plant selections to improve gardens visual appeal and health.

What you’ll be doing

• Plant Care & Maintenance: Plant, prune and care for flowers, shrubs, trees and other landscaping plants.
• Lawn Care & Maintenance: Mow lawns, edge borders, and maintain grass health and aerate and dethatch lawns to promote healthy growth.
• Landscape Design & Enhancement: Assist in designing and implementing new landscaping features such as flower beds, hedges and walkways.
• Seasonal Preparations: Prepare gardens and landscapes for different seasons (e.g. Winterizing plants, spring planting) while providing guidance on proper care for seasonal plants and flowers.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or a related field.
• Knowledge of plants, horticulture and basic garden design.
• Familiarity with garden tools and equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license is required
