CSG CHARACTER RIGGER

We are seeking a highly motivated Rigger. In this position, you will be responsible for carrying through the artistic vision of the project and applying your experience directly to rigging game assets that are vital to the team and for the game animation systems.

Terms:

  • 18-month contract, 40-hours per week
  • Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote)

Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that conform to the technical guidelines of the target platform and engine.
  2. Follow direction from the Rigging Lead, as well as seek feedback from peers and art leads when needed.
  3. Troubleshoot rigged assets, fix content issues, and test on the target platform.
  4. Participate in meetings as part of effective communication with the team.
  5. Capably and consistently meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads.
  6. Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows as required.
  7. Be a positive and creative force in the team.

Must-Haves:

  1. 3+ years as a professional rigger or equivalent experience.
  2. AA/BFA preferred, or at least can demonstrate through a portfolio an industry-standard level of rigging.
  3. Proficient with Maya, with a high capacity to learn new tools and processes.

Requirements:

  1. Human/animal anatomical knowledge.
  2. Clean and efficient smooth skinning practices.
  3. Passion for the industry and an understanding of industry trends and technologies.
  4. Have a proactive work ethic; capable problem solver who is not afraid of big challenges.
  5. Prepared to learn in-studio workflow and tools.
  6. Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a benefit.
  7. Python scripting knowledge is a benefit.
  8. Experience with MotionBuilder is a benefit.
  9. Knowledge of Cloth or simulation is a plus.
