Your Role:

The Fund Development Officer is a key member of APC’s Resource Development Team with responsibility to support revenue growth and sustainability with a focus on leading the development and execution of innovative relationship based fundraising initiatives that will inspire and reinforce donor engagement. Reporting to the Senior Director, Fund Development, this role requires a creative and strategic thinker who is capable of leading public-facing donor fundraising campaigns and initiatives.

The Fund Development Officer will develop, manage, and execute APC’s planned giving program as well as lead mid-level giving solicitations including Park Champions, monthly giving, APC family campaign and all elements of account management including prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Working in collaboration with members of the Resource Development Team the Officer will also participate in grant and event management as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of progressive experience working in a fundraising or non-profit environment with demonstrated success in event management, grant writing, donor cultivation and individual giving. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Detail orientated with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong ability to multitask with a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven experience working with volunteers and volunteer committees.
  • Broad understanding of fundraising principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team while also comfortable taking initiative and moving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals and/or Canadian Association of Gift Planner is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Grant writing considered an asset.
  • Experience with Event Planning considered an asset.
  • Experience working with Raiser’s Edge and InDesign is considered an asset.
  • Possession of a valid Manitoba Driver’s License.
