Role: The Functional Analyst/Business Analyst will work closely with the Delivery Manager, other analysts, team leads, and developers to deliver product implementations and customized software solutions to client needs. The Functional Analyst/Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that solutions align with client expectations and project goals.
In this role, the Functional Analyst/Business Analyst will serve as a key liaison between clients and development teams, gathering detailed business requirements, creating documentation, and ensuring seamless communication across teams. The role will also include supporting project management activities, ensuring timely delivery, and conducting quality assurance (QA) testing to validate that solutions meet business objectives.
Your Day with Equisoft:
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from clients.
- Create the necessary Jira tasks for the sprint and collaborate with the developers and delivery manager.
- Conduct gap analysis between current processes and client requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of requirements, business cases, and project-related information.
- Liaison between clients and development teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
- Communicate project and development updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the delivery manager's representative, if necessary.
Quality Assurance (QA) Testing
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure features meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
- Perform manual testing of new customized software features and regression testing of existing functionality.
- Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with developers for timely resolution.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by working with clients to validate solutions.
Project Management Assistance
- Assist the delivery manager in tracking progress, updating project timelines, and managing project deliverables.
- Participate in project planning, stand-ups, and status meetings to ensure milestones are met.
- Help monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating concerns as needed.
- Support the coordination of resources, schedules, and task assignments.
- Collaborate with the delivery manager to ensure timely communication of project status to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Technical
- College diploma combined with 3 years of relevant experience in information technology.
- 3+ years in a functional analyst, system analyst, or business analyst role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Experience working with development teams.
- Experience working in the insurance or finance sector (asset).
