Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in various accounting software. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of our organization and requires a proactive approach to managing accounts.
Duties
Managing all accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Preparing financial reports, tax returns, and other reports for leadership on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Monthly/quarterly government remittances/taxes/HST
Government Funding – seek out, solicit and participate in the application/approval process
Support audit requirements as needed
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Monitoring & communicate the business' cash flow to management
Reconciling cash, bank accounts, and revenues
Creating journal entries for all accounts
Processing employee time sheets and payroll
Processing invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Preparing bank deposits, attend at the bank when needed
Ensuring accuracy in the general ledger
Other duties as assigned
Experience
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Simply Accounting, Quick Books and Sage, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member when needed.
