Front End Software Engineer II

Waterloo, Ontario - Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Craft and develop reusable, cross-platform components that are both scalable and performant.
Ship consumer-facing web applications that set the standard in the industry.
Produce detailed design and development documentation that is clear and comprehensive.
Collaborate with a team of ambitious engineers, designers, and product managers to successfully implement new features.
Diagnose and suggest improvements for client-side performance challenges.
Apply GitHub for source code management and follow CI/CD frameworks to ensure smooth integration and delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 3 years of Frontend Software Development experience.
Demonstrable experience in developing high-performance user interfaces.
Passionate about quality and committed to writing clean, readable code.
Deep technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks, Node.js, and Restful APIs.
Highly proficient in HTML5 / CSS3, and Node.js.
Experience working on Single Page Applications, React.js or React Native, and Restful APIs.
Understanding of GraphQL and its implementation.
Experience with hybrid native/web applications and WebViews.
Demonstrable ability to diagnose and propose improvements for client-side performance challenges.
Experience using GitHub for source code management.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
