Job description

Hampton Inn & Suites Moncton is looking for someone who is dedicated, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a part of a team. The ideal candidate for Front Desk Supervisor should have excellent time management skills, a passion for hospitality, and naturally takes the extra step to ensure a memorable experience for guests by providing exceptional service and Hospitality Like Never Before.

The Front Desk Supervisors are a crucial component in the smooth operation of the Guest Services Department by assisting the front-line staff and other departments whenever needed to ensure exceptional guest service satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Train and assist the guest services department ensuring all balance their shift.
  2. Provide night audit relief for vacation and sick calls.
  3. Create a strong team through training and coaching employees to reflect Hampton Inn & Suites Moncton procedures and Hilton brand standards.
  4. Exhibit and support a team-focused positive attitude with all hotel departments and colleagues.
  5. Scheduling/Training/Cross Training.
  6. Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints in a timely manner.
  7. Train staff on Service Recovery/resolution.
  8. Act as a concierge assisting clients as needed.
  9. Support the catering department with meeting bookings and set up as required.
  10. Work with team bookings, group blocks.
  11. Act as a safety ambassador and ensure all staff follow safety protocol.
  12. Complete other hotel duties as assigned.
  13. Be compliant with all DP Murphy employee policies and procedures.

  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous guest service experience, ideally in a hotel setting.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual (French/English). Conversational French required, Written French required.
  • Exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills; innovative, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Professional, engaging, and strong verbal communicator.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without supervision while working effectively with internal and external guests.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Learn/adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
